Tens of millions of Americans smoke cigarettes regularly and something that has become clear in the last couple of decades is the direct correlation between smoking and cancer diagnoses. But is that message actually resonating enough with the general public? Nearly half of patients diagnosed with cancer in 2023 had a history of smoking, and 15% were smokers at the time of their diagnosis.
