Are we reaching Herd Immunity?

Dr. Browne talked about the news this week from Governor Lamont. Lamont’s office reported 61 percent of Connecticut adults are at least half vaccinated which means we are very close to herd immunity. What does that mean for a mask mandate? What does that mean for kids needing the vaccine?
Also, Dr. Browne talks about the shocking majority of hospitalizations reflecting young people who voluntarily don’t want the vaccine. Why is that???

WICC Pet of The Week

WICC Pet of The Week

Today’s feature is from the Newington branch and is described as the “goodest girl” who needs a great home. Now she’s certainly a face you want to come home to! Cammy always has a smile for her favorite people. The 6-year-old lab mix is a smart girl who likes to stay active with food puzzles, toys, walks and time to explore outside. But she also loves couch time…and might even crawl in your lap! Cam is easygoing, would be good with kids 6 years old and up, and has experience living with other dogs. Sometimes, she does like to sing if she’s bored and alone, so that’s something to consider if you have neighbors close by. This pup would also like to continue getting training for leash manners so she can enjoy her walks even more.

Visit CThumane.org/adopt to learn about Cam and the other pets ready for homes.
