CT Humane Society Pet of the Week

CT Humane Society Pet of the Week

Our pet or pets of the week are Big Momma a 2 year old guinea pig and her baby Cleo who is 1 month old and stinking cute! They came to us as a group so you may see other siblings on the site who are also available. These two are pretty easy to handle so we would love them to go into a home who can continue socializing with them. I had the opportunity to clean their enclosure and watch them dance, or “pop corning” yesterday and it was fun to watch. Very similar to the rabbits who Binkie, the Guinea pigs jump up in the air and do a turn mid –air which mean they are happy! We would like Big Momma and Cleo to go home together but if you already we have a pig at home who may want a friend we can do a meet and greet at the shelter and see if we have a match.
If you are interested in hearing more about Big Momma & Cleo visit us at cthumane.org/adopt to apply online and one of our adoption team members will give you a call to discuss them or any of our friends at CT Humane in Westport.

Today we have these 2 four month old male Rabbits!  They are almost identical but when you look at their noses Blinkin has a full mustache!!  They are always together nose to nose, which I love to watch how close and sweet they are. With that said they must go home together. They still have some growing to do, so they need lots of space to move around and binky!  When a rabbits Binky, they run around real fast and it looks like when they hop they tap their back feet together. That’s a good way to tell how happy they are. These brothers came to us from one of our animal control partners and they continue to thrive here but of course we want them to have a home of their own before the holidays.

If you are interested in hearing more about Winkin & Blinkin visit us at cthumane.org/adopt to apply online and one of our adoption team members will give you a call to discuss them or any of our friends at CT Humane in Westport.
