Good morning! This week we have Maya, a border collie mix! She is one years old, spayed, and up to date on all her vaccines.
Maya has a black and white pattern which is very pretty on her, but her fur is not as long as you would expect when you say Border Collie.
Maya came to us from one of our local animal control partners just a couple of weeks ago. While she has been here, we have been working on her basic manners and her jumping! She can jump extremely high; her head passes my head by inches. Though we are working on this behavior, we want to send her to a home that has children who are at least 14 years old. This way she can’t jump off a small child!
She’s extremely high energy and very fun! We would love her to have a large yard, but willing to consider active families who live in a condo.
If you are interested in hearing more about Maya visit us at cthumane.org/adopt to apply online and one of our adoption team members will give you a call to discuss her or any of our friends at CT Humane in Westport.
