CT Humane Society Pet of the Week

don’t think we talked about these cute creatures in a while, so I am want to introduce you all to Ginger and Biscuit a lovely pair of Guinea pigs!! Ginger is the eldest of the two ladies at 4 years old and Biscuit is 2 years old, she has the more golden pattern fur.  They are great friends and must go home together. Guinea Pigs also called a Cavy, are a trending pet these days. They are relatively easy to care, quiet for the most part (until you have their food close!) If you start with gentle handling some learn to love getting picked up and held.  They are curious but don’t chew wires and such like their hamster and mice friends.  If  you are interested in these two ladies we would be happy to tell you more about them. Even as a first time pig owner we will set you up for success with your new Guinea pigs.
