Melissa in the Morning: Latest Tick-Borne Illness

The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station reports that it found the first evidence of the invasive longhorned tick infected with the potentially life-threatening bacterium. It was detected in Fairfield County. We spoke with Jessica Snajder from Partner in Lyme about this latest finding and ways to protect yourself from ticks this summer.
